Waiheke has the perfect mico climate for growing grapes. As a result we are lucky enough to now have many fabulous vineyards right here on the island. There are now around 30 boutique wineries scattered about, many with tasting rooms, award-wining wines served in beautiful restaurants and breathtaking views.What a great reason to visit!
. Cable Bay With great views back to Auckland City and Rangitoto, watching the sunset from Cable Bay should be on your to do list. The Estate has a fine dining restaurant, as well as a more relaxed experience- The Verandah. Cable Bay also has its own Organic Garden which supplies their Resturants with fresh produce.
. Jurassic Ridge Jurassic Ridge is a famliy own and run vineyard at the Western end of the island. Visit the Cellar Door for tastings.
. Mudbrick One of the original Vineyards on the Island, Mudbrick has a Restaurant for fine dining, and The Archive, a Bar and Bistro. Situated at the North West end of the island, the vineyard enjoys fantastic 360-degree views of the gulf, Auckland and surrounding islands., and is a lovely spot to watch the sun go down after dinner, with a glass of wine. Tours and tastings available, Cellar door open 7 days a week and for tastings less than 10 guests you do not require a booking.
. Goldie Estate Centraly located with a Cellar Door and Olive Grove, Nestled among 30 acres of native bush and rolling vineyard overlooking Putiki Bay, the micro-climate provides an ideal terror for wine growing and is a wonderful spot for a wedding, or other celebrations.

. Kennedy Point Vineyard is the only certified organic vineyard on Waiheke and can be found on the southwestern side. Set amongst 300-year-old Pohutukawa trees overlooking Waiheke Island’s Kennedy Bay.

Stonyridge, Tantalus, Te Motu and Wild on Waiheke are all situated close to each other on Onetangi road. Now, a lovely vineyard walkway takes you from Obsidian - via Casito Miro and over to Tantalus / Te Motu / Stonyridge and Wild on Waiheke. Many other wineries can be found close by in Onetangi.
