We had a lovely stay at Heron Ridge. The house had everything you need to feel right at home, whether you're hosting a small dinner party or simply relaxing and unwinding. The location is fantastic—within walking distance to the beach, local cafés, and restaurants, and right next door to Casita Miro. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

An absolutely outstanding stay from start to finish. This house sets the standard for first-class living, with exceptional amenities and breathtaking views. Every detail of the interior decoration has been thoughtfully designed - stylish, modern and incredibly inviting. The layout is both spacious and functional making it feel like a true home away from home. Waking up to the view each day was a highlight in itself. This is a place where luxury, comfort and design come together perfectly. We highly recommend Heron Ridge and would certainly stay here again.
Astonishing Location
Heron Ridge on Waiheke Island was exceptional. From the moment my partner and I arrived, the views were excellent, wide open across the water and vineyards. Whether it was morning coffee on the deck or a glass of wine at sunset, there was never a time when the scenery did not feel special. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. It is incredibly well-designed and hasn’t everything we could have wanted for a wonderful and comfortable stay (including a lift which we didn’t need but which was gratefully appreciated!). All the bedrooms were well set up, and the house had every amenity we could have wanted. The kitchen was fully equipped, the living spaces were generous and inviting, and the bedrooms were calm, quiet, and restful. Everything worked, everything was clean, and everything felt easy. A walk down the stairs takes you straight to the beach, which made spontaneous swims and strolls very comfortable. Being able to go from house to sand in 5-10 minutes is a luxury which we very much appreciated. The agent and owner were excellent to deal with: clear, responsive, and genuinely helpful before and during our stay, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. On top of all that, it felt like outstanding value for money given the quality of the house, the location, and the views.

Brilliant in a word. My family of 6 adults stayed at Heron Ridge for 13 nights. The amenities here were exceptional to say the least. Each room contained every requirement necessary to live here in luxury. We hosted dinner parties here for 10 people and found the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. You want views, this place has it in every direction. Sea, islands, vineyards, even right across to the Coromandel Peninsula. The large sunny front deck allowed extra space for each person to find a suitable niche at any time of the day or evening. How many places have a lift for bringing all your luggage up, groceries from the supermarket or tired kids after a day at the beach? Do you want to go for a swim, just check out the beach from the large sunny deck and walk down to the beach? Multiple choices of cafes and restaurants abound on the seafront at Onetangi. And if you are after a vineyard and restaurant, how about a 6 minutes walk to the one on an adjoining block. This is now my third visit back to Onetangi and we keep coming back. Car parking is available on site, for multiple cars which can be quite difficult to get with every rental property on Waiheke. I highly recommend Heron Ridge to anyone and everyone, you will not be disappointed.
